Join me this November for a free email challenge!

You’ll get one networking task delivered to your inbox each morning (working days only) during the challenge. Every task is designed to take less than 20 minutes to complete. Bonus: your registration gives you access to a live workshop where I’ll share how to develop a networking strategy to take your networking to the next level.

We all know the high-value habits that move our business forward. And we all know how easy it is to push them to “next week.” Networking almost always falls into that trap because reaching out on our own feels high-stakes, uncomfortable, and easy to postpone. That’s why we are running this networking challenge as a cohort, with accountability built in.

You’ll have access to a private challenge space where you can check in daily or weekly (your choice) to let the other participants know what you’re going to do and when you’ve done it.

Why doing this together works so much better

Willpower is overrated; shared momentum is more likely to get stuff done. Here is what changes when we tackle this together:

Almost everyone I know struggles with networking

There’s something about doing something difficult along with other people, even if you aren’t in the same room. It makes it feel more possible.

Built-in accountability for those who need it.

You’ll get a daily email with that day’s task and a bit of encouragement and a private accountability group where you can support other challenge participants and they can support you.

A clear goal beats vague intentions every day.

Instead of telling yourself you “need to network more,” you get a month-long challenge with daily emails on 19 challenge days, with weekends and the Thanksgiving break off.

The challenge: Intentional networking

On each of the 19 challenge days in November, I’ll send you an email with one networking action to take.

Want a sample of what you might be doing each day? Here are a few of the tasks:

  • Add your daily networking time for the month to your calendar and make a list of ten people you want to connect with.
  • Reconnect with a former client or contact by sending an email.
  • Send a quick note on LinkedIn to a former colleague you’ve been meaning to contact.
  • Make a list of who you’re going to contact this week.
  • Find a person on LinkedIn you’d like to connect with and comment on one of their posts.

Each email gives you one manageable networking action and a strategy or coaching tip. There’s also an optional journaling prompt for the journalers in the group. As you follow the prompts, you’ll also have an opportunity to take note of what happens when you give your networking more consistent attention.

The daily prompts will arrive Monday through Friday, with a break for Thanksgiving and the following day, November 26–27.

The workshop: Networking Strategically

Thursday, November 19, at 11 a.m. Eastern

Networking takes time. It helps to know what you want that time to accomplish for your business and whether the things you’re doing are helping you get there.

In this workshop, I’ll share a process for assessing whether your networking is helping you accomplish what you want and deciding what to do next based on that assessment.

You’ll draw on your networking results so far to develop a more intentional strategy for the rest of the challenge.
